Real Gaming News publishes buying guides and hardware coverage for PC gamers. These are the editorial rules that apply to all of it.
1. Independence comes first
Our editors decide which products and topics we cover and what we conclude about them. Manufacturers, retailers and partners do not see articles ahead of publication and cannot demand changes.
2. Facts need sources
We rely on primary sources wherever possible: official spec sheets, platform documentation and release notes. Performance data comes from independent hardware review sites and measurement outlets. Owner reports help us judge reliability. Numbers without a traceable source are not published.
Performance results from different outlets rarely match exactly, because settings, drivers and companion hardware vary. When figures conflict, we report the range or explain the cause, and we don’t cherry-pick the result that suits a product.
3. Rumors are labeled
Unconfirmed leaks are clearly marked as unconfirmed and are never presented as fact or used to support a recommendation.
4. AI assists, editors verify
AI tools help with research, outlining and drafting. Human editors edit the content and verify every claim. AI is never used to generate specs, performance figures or measurement results.
5. No paid rankings
Placement in our guides cannot be bought. We do not accept payment for inclusion or ranking, and we do not publish sponsored rankings. Affiliate commissions are disclosed and do not influence our picks.
6. Conflicts are disclosed
We currently do not accept review samples in exchange for coverage. If we receive any product, payment or other benefit from a company we cover, we will disclose it in the relevant article.
7. Content stays current
We review major guides regularly and update them after new hardware launches, significant price changes, firmware or driver changes, and reader reports. Each update is dated.
